How we brought Mexican food to the Hudson Valley
About Us
Where it all started…
In the late 1980s, a small Mexican restaurant began welcoming guests in the quiet college town of Tivoli, New York. Nestled in northern Dutchess County, Santa Fe Restaurant quickly became a local landmark—beloved by both residents and visitors exploring the Hudson Valley.
Inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Mexico, Santa Fe’s menu celebrates the country’s diverse, vibrant flavors while highlighting the quality and freshness of every ingredient. Over the years, our thoughtfully crafted dishes, festive atmosphere, and exceptional value have earned Santa Fe a reputation as one of the Hudson Valley’s favorite dining destinations.
In 2012, the Santa Fe concept crossed the Hudson River to Kingston’s historic Stockade District. Santa Fe Uptowncarries on the original’s legacy, drawing loyal guests for its from-scratch margaritas, creative tacos, and warm hospitality. A few years later, Santa Fe Woodstock joined the family, offering that same inviting spirit—along with private dining options in its intimate lounge or spacious event room.
Santa Fe is proud to be locally owned and female owned. Rooted in the Hudson Valley for over thirty years, the Santa Fe family continues to celebrate community, creativity, and authenticity in everything we do. Our dedication to fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and genuine hospitality remains at the heart of every Santa Fe experience.
Santa Fe Gives Back
We’re a part of the neighborhood and that means we’re here to help. We support community organizations through our “Santa Fe Gives Back” program, which donates a portion of your receipts back to your cause when you dine with us.
Please inquire if you would like to know more about hosting a fundraiser for your team or organization at any of our locations.
